I noticed that the subscriber number is actually separate depending on what site you’re on. Thought that was neat, but I do wish everyone could see total subscribers. Obviously a thing for lemmy to deal with rather than here specifcally but just wanted to share.
https://lemmynsfw.com/c/cunny@burggit.moe - 17 subscribers
https://burggit.moe/c/cunny - 111 subscribers
This is one of the first things I noticed about Lemmy, I agree that it’s neat, but I too would like a way to see total subscribers, though I imagine that would be very difficult considering how federation works. For example, our total subscriber count would be fairly low, since it would only be the total subscribers of the instances who don’t defederate us. It wouldn’t count instances like beehaw, lemmy.ml or a number of other instances who have decided we are too problematic to stay federated with.
Why are they too problematic to stay federated with?
Other instances do not like us because we allow opinions they disagree with and controversial content.
What type of opinions we talking ? We taking stormfront and 4chan type edge? Or just typical mainstream boomer bigot anti trans pro white Christian stuff?
