I feel like this video spent too much time conceding to the inevitable “but what about when I need to move a fridge” type comments.
but what about when I need to move a fridge
There’s actually an easy answer to that: Rent a small van. When I had to move I rented a van for ~€100 a day and was done in three days. That’s a new’ish van with parking sensors and reverse camera for €300 total. That’s much cheaper than buying a similarly aged car for €20.000 (cars are expensive here) “just in case” which does a worse job at moving and a worse job at everyday travel.
I know that. I felt like the video had a lot of “of course we’re still going to need cars” as if it was already conceding to those types of comments, where there should of been a lot more emphasis on how much we need to not use cars, and like you send just rent one when needed instead of owning and using it for everything.
