In a nod to labor unions, President Joe Biden is moving to boost wages for construction workers on projects paid for with federal funding, a step that would appeal to a key constituency ahead of next year’s presidential election and potentially shrink the pay gap between northern and southern states.

Are we going to just sit there and pretend that we don’t need oil? What are you typing on right now? What are you reading this message on? What are 1/2 your clothes and most of the appliances around your house made of? You think anything will move without lubrication?

Rainbows and unicorn farts only go so far. At some point reality kicks in and we realize we need plastic and lubricants and gasoline and diesel and jet fuel and synthetic rubber and a host of other materials that are all around us.

just wait until reality kicks in and you realize we can’t grow massive amounts of food without a predictable climate, and that we only have a finite amount of oil anyways
