The problem is that he’s as popular as people are told he is by a malicious elite pushing a nefarious party through a complicity greedy media.

Lower actual popularity means a lot less when hordes of people think it’s ok to vote for him even with their disgust because his popularity is seen in your CEO’s donations, in the normalization of Trump’s behaviour by government, and in the news every minute.

Popular or not, he’s been made ok.

      Absolutely agree.

      The media cannot resist him.

Every website, from MSN to a tinpot blogger, gets more clicks writing about him.

In fact I would like to see some analysis, that measure his coverage vs Biden over the last 4 years. I’d bet money it’s 5x

I get what it’s trying to say, but if everyone thinks you’re popular, doesn’t that make you popular? Lol

It’s so sad that the democrats are this stupid. For once in their miserable lives they could’ve put a progressive on the ballot, but nope! Apparently their idea of “electable” means “painfully standard”, leading to less votes, meaning the crazy on the other side of tbe isle actually stands a chance.

If Trump wins, I’ll blame the democrats and also remind Europeans why a two party system is way to close to a one party system.

But hey, let’s see what happens if Trump wins…

The worse Republicans get, the less effort the DNC will put into providing a good candidate. After all, people will “have” to vote for them anyway - why risk somebody who might do things the voter base wants? Any promise made real is one less argument for voting for them. They’d have to keep moving leftwards to stay interesting, and those with real influence won’t allow that to happen.

There is no other conceivable reason why Biden is the candidate again.

I mean, being an incumbent is an enormous advantage.

Of course, that decrepit motherfucker is only there because all the actual progressives got done super dirty in the 2020 primaries.

It isn’t as much of an advantage when you’re not old enough to be slowly dying before everyone’s eyes. Of course that also holds true for Trump, but it’s not like his supporters care about that.

I don’t think there are many Democrats who could lose to Trump aside from Biden, even with him having the advantage of incumbency.
