        Depends on the Wrestling Show. Lots of styles across different promotions. You don’t really get the “man raised from dead” or “custody of child” shenanigans much any more. Closest you get are cults. Definitely feels a bit more like Sports anime nowadays. Or just general dramas.

        Probably still the best analogy as it’s a guilty pleasure for most who don’t want to explain it as a mix of gymnastics, dance and storytelling. Maybe “Manly Ballet” is a better equivalent (albeit a bit non-progressive, I just can’t think of a better term but hopefully the analogy comes across)

    There’s two types of people that watch WWE/AEW wrestling.

    1. Actual morons who think it’s real.
    2. People who know it’s not real but love the drama and stupidity.

    They’re hyper-masculine soap operas and kinda fun to watch, ngl.
