Right, because conservatives haven’t tried to stop all progress since for ever…
Red or Blue, they don’t care about you.
At least one of them isn’t trying to eradicate my existence as a trans person.
Just imagine, if you can, voting for someone who does not want to eradicate anyone - ever.
But the individual people do. Most are like you, but a few actually do care. So you can give up and be part of the problem, or you can keep trying.
I’m not giving up, just Voting Libertarian to try and make a difference.
So, conservative lite?
Conservative, but you’re allowed to have drugs and hookers.
Ok, this comment is funny.
Conservative with plausible deniability. “I didn’t vote for Trump!”
Incorrect, voting with my moral compass.
Get it fixed.
No real libertarian would vote. Let alone for a libertarian. As that would be imposing on the freedoms of others.
I think you are mistaken.
Nope. No freedoms but social freedoms.
True libertarians, those on the left all know.
The fastest growing state in the country is Texas because Texas actually builds
It’s all about perspective. I hope the “growth” was worth it.
And, what? We’re all supposed to ignore that California’s economy is ranked among COUNTRIES not states? Whatever milestones you want to use, Republicans can’t govern in a way that keeps their own people happy, nonetheless the rest of us.
Well, at least ignore the fact that Texas can’t keep the power on.
Also, most of the state is a barren wasteland.
I used to live in California. I recently went back and SF is ruined. A bunch of drug addicts in camps right in the middle of the city. Of course California liked that so much they made Gavin Newsom governor
Don’t get me wrong, I’m very liberal on drugs. I lost don’t want to walk through downtown and see that. There should be limits to what is allowed in public spaces
Don’t they have rolling blackouts during the winter because a lack of infrastructure and in the summer for the same reasons?
Texas is the fastest growing clean energy producer in the country as well
Growing don’t mean shit if you are the least free in the country as another comment points out.
You’re free in California except if you want to build housing, in which case get fucked
Dude, you are fighting a losing battle. And pointing out the flaws in California isn’t going to sway a non American
This is a meme about American politics, it doesn’t apply outside of America
Forced births. Policy has caused this by design.
It’s not because of births, people are moving to Texas because of cheaper rent
Besides the dumb political message it’s not even true, poor southern conservatives were Democrats until the last few decades.
Just pointing out the R&Ds are the same and the only way out is 3rd party.
Can you point to a viable 3rd party in the US? One thay has a presence at all levels of government?
Pretty much ANY Libertarian canidate.
Look up viable.
LOL. Just sell the functions of government to corporate subsidies that fund politicians with absolutely no oversight or accountability. What could go wrong!
Or vote for specific people within the parties that keep trying, but people get fooled into thinking that they are the bad guys, such as Bernie Sanders. The problem with the Republican party is that anyone who criticises Trump gets harassed and attacked. Democrats will criticize Biden as it is expected.
If there were a perfect being that was fair and just, a dictatorship would work great. But it never does. That’s why you keep voting for the individual who is for the people. The problem is that it’s tiring and confusing to keep doing it all the time, if even at all. And that is intentional and by design. Like gerrymandering.
All you have to remember is that no matter who Red or Blue runs, they’ve been bought by big business and will never serve in the interest of the people.
Assuming that any and all politicians have a price tag (that’s your implication here), what’s preventing your third party candidate from getting bought?
The fact that Libertarians understand that is the problem to begin with.
We have a party here in Romania called USR. They’re a technocrat party, and one of their big core pillars of policy is dealing with political corruption. I think it’s safe to say they also understand it’s a problem.
Their politicians still occasionally get busted for corruption. Less than the other parties, but still. Don’t let the ideology blind you to reality.
I’m not, I’m agreeing.
