Not to be morbid, but I found out a friend/former co-worker of mine passed away via Steam. He had been offline for a super long time and one day I saw his account pop up as in game. I decided to say hi, only to find out it was his son. The son told me that my friend has passed about a year prior and he had taken over his father’s account.

It was such a shock I had to sit and contemplate it for a while. I still don’t quite believe it to this day.

Creepy’s shit ever was a friend’s wife logged on to his PC about a week after the funeral to play a game.

This always hits hard. I remember when I lost my first online friend.

      Stay well.

Thanks. It’s just weird. I have tons of old friends on Steam that have been offline for years… I have no idea what happened to them or what’s going on in their lives… But this one guy I know for sure and it just hits hard. Part of me wishes I didn’t know.

Is this a real screenshot? I have a friend that has been offline for 12 years, and it is listed in steam as ‘12 years’, not in days.
