Heh, NATO training and equipment seems to be getting seriously trashed right now in Ukraine, so of course they are gonna blame Ukrainians to not tank their sales.

Funniest thing about it is that even if that training would really be magical, Ukraine had probably experienced training cadre now and the only one in the world who seen the full scale war against regular modern army and if they can’t do it, what’s the chance NATO childkillers can?

      this was my fav bit

It states that the Ukrainian military favours promoting soldiers with combat experience over those who have received NATO-standard instruction. Commanders can therefore show “considerable deficiencies in leadership” which lead to “wrong and dangerous decisions”, the military document claims.

Imagine claiming that people who have actual combat experience are less qualified than those who were trained by NATO dorks who’ve never seen actual combat in their lives.

Ukraine’s army at this point has more combat experience than all of NATO combined. They should be the ones teaching NATO not the other way around, but of course they all, including the Ukrainians themselves, continue to firmly believe in the myth of western superiority. They are still convinced that western weapons and western training confer you some kind of superpowers and if you are still failing well that must mean you’re just not doing it right, it must be your “inferior slavic genes” or “leftover soviet mentality” that prevents you from becoming like the fabled western supersoldiers. I see this internalized self-loathing and inferiority complex all the time especially among the liberals and the middle class of my own native (eastern European) country. When will eastern Europeans finally understand that no matter how much they debase themselves, no matter how hard they bend the knee and try to imitate and subordinate themselves, the West will NEVER see them as anything but inferior, wannabe westerners… pale imitations who will never achieve “true democracy” and “real western civilization”? Eastern Europe lost all semblance of dignity and self-respect in 1989.

In Poland it’s everywhere, even more insufferable because a lot of people, especially on the right, managed to somehow combine this with the typical polish brash superiority complex, creating truly incredible pendulum.

German military leaders also express frustration at experienced fighters being promoted over Western-trained troops, with the report claiming “combat experience does not mean that the soldier is a good leader in combat”.

        The audacity, lol.

The implicit chauvinism in this whole ‘NATO training’ narrative is astounding anyway. If someone should be training and learning frome someone, it should be NATO from Ukraine, not the other way around. Outside of the US NATO countries have literally 0 institutional experience with conventional peer warfare. Even the US is over 30 years removed from anything resembling that. Their entire docrine and structure is geared towards fighting irregular forces in the periphery with total air, artillery, intelligence and every other superiority. Which isn’t the case in Ukraine in any fucking way.

The AFU has that experience, knowledge and doctrine. If it wasn’t such a reactionary puppet shithole I’d feel bad for the AFU soldiers fighting that war for 8 years and then being schooled by some NATO wanker who’s maybe shot at a peasant with an AK once. What’s some German officer gonna teach the Ukrainian military? The Bundeswehr has been playing logistics and practicing sitting in bases while their equipment rots away since WW2 and padded itself on the shoulders for leaving the little combat to Nazi SOF or the Yanks. They have 0 experience relevant to this conflict. It’s madness that Westoids are so deluded they believe the issue isn’t with them.

Relevant is some Ukrainian soldier in an interview with the WaPo (iirc) telling a story how they asked their German trainers how they should deal with minefields and the guy telling them they should ‘just bypass them’. That’s the training these guys are getting for the slaughterhouse.

Saying you are sympathetic for AFU is a testimony for itself. Their commander in chief is a Bandera worshipper I have no sympathy for such scum and their top brass mostly consists of Azovs and Aidaar commanders. Even Zelensky gave them state funeral.

So you can’t quote it, because you made it up, gotcha. Can you then at least quote me expressing sympathy for the AFU? Like quote the whole sentence where I did that.

They’re clearly pissed off at “If it wasn’t such a reactionary puppet shithole I’d feel bad for the AFU soldiers” because I guess they must’ve skipped reading the entire start of that sentence lol
