      Agreed. But this is also why I think a league is a better format than a knockout. The result shouldn’t depend on who got lucky on a single day.

      The weird thing is that we had a league, and then decided to keep a knockout match for the final and semis. IPL and ISL also do this bullshit.

        Maybe, luck is a big factor in this game, e.g. toss, that miraculous catch by Head or that delivery of Cummins to clean up Virat, (ik they need skill but luck was a major factor). On certain pitches match is decided on toss itself like the final one.
