You are looking for an inexpensive and small thrower for your pocket? With Anduril and fancy aux LEDs? Then try out the Wurkkos TS11!

The Wurkkos TS11 is a fantastic, small pocket thrower that can easily keep up with larger flashlights such as the Sofirn IF22A in terms of range and brightness. Anduril offers many functions and can be updated and extended with some experience. On the other hand, this complexity can easily be overwhelming. (Wurkkos has just released the TS11S, which is the same flashlight, but with a simper user interface.)

There’s a small issue with some orange in the spill, but you can either use the black version or apply my modification with aluminum tape. Apart from that the TS11 is exactly what I expected.

      Indeed, this is far from perfect, but on the other hand it’s also not angry blue, more a pure white and without green tint. For a thrower I find it kind of acceptable.

      While Luminus has announced warmer SFT-40, I’m not sure if they are even released yet.

          The TS11 is almost twice as long, four times as bright, throws two times as far and runs six times as long.

    Any idea how difficult an emitter swap would be? Might be nice to try a cyan emitter.

    I wonder if IF22S is different hardware. It would make sense to just reconfigure Anduril.

      My review includes a photo of the disassembled head. It’s an easy reflow.

      The IF22A has a completely different driver.

          I don’t have one, but I’m pretty sure it has a different driver. Never seen a Chinese flashlight engineer using an AVR microcontroller for their work.

    Nice review, any comparison with Sofirn IF19? I like the Wurkkos’ ability to swap in an 18650 battery tube. IDK whether the IF19 can do that. Emisar is also interesting and I hadn’t thought of it as a tiny light til seeing your pic.

      The IF19 is mostly identical with a slightly different design, without Anduril and without aux LEDs. But performance should be the same. I think the battery tubes will be compatible, but I don’t have an IF19 to try it out.

        Oh I didn’t realize it forgot that the if21 is not anduril. Yeah I’d choose the Wurkkos or Emisar in that case.

      I always have a thrower with me to see what’s happening at the end of a path. The TS11 works great for this. I don’t need much runtime for the few short bursts of light, but the small TS11 is very handy and doesn’t need much space.

    Great review. This also seems very close to the Thrunite catapult mini v2 (https://zeroair.org/2023/05/30/thrunite-catapult-mini-v2-flashlight-review/) but with the v1 optic.

    The catapult mini v2 also with sft40 lists 1100 lumens for turbo, so maybe it has a 4-5 amp driver. But it also seems to be regulated with 400 sustained lumens in zeroair’s review. With the addition of custom UI and aux in the ts11, maybe long sustained use isn’t really needed for a pocket thrower in which case it would be a better choice.
