Humanist weddings and funerals should be the norm here now ffs. I was at a couple of humanist weddings since 2019, I far prefer that type of ceremony tbh.

Same should go for funerals. It feels hypocritical for people to not go to mass for years at a time or have any meas on the church, but still insist on a Catholic funeral. Just my thoughts anyway.

    Agreed. My brother and some friends both had humanist weddings over the past few years and they were great. They felt much more like a celebration than anything else which is exactly what a wedding should feel like.

    Church weddings feel like slow torture. My uncle’s wedding was at a church because the priest was a family friend of his wife’s, even though neither of them ever go to mass.
