      It’s incredible, the image is so hard hitting to me.

    I cannot imagine that guy had great chances of survival. Any swamp water in his wounds would likely cause a serious infection.

    Better than nothing I guess

      I mean in a regular surgery anything below waist level or so is already considered non-sterile, So I think the risk of doctors accidentally dipping their hands in the swamp water is pretty low :P

    If the context was not provided, I’d assume this is some kind of art performance. Or a scene from some kind of movie.
