It seems like a silly thing to do a study on but if you notice they discuss how making vaccine appointments can mitigate the effects. There’s a lot of research going on that is looking at how to counteract the antivax nonsense that is driving less educated (and sometimes highly educated) people to avoid getting not only their Covid vaccine but other vaccines as well. For instance there’s research that shows when medical professionals strongly recommend vaccinations and regularly remind their patients to get their shots, their patients are more likely to agree to do it and follow up with boosters. Again seems like a common sense thing but it’s little things like this that can start to whittle away at the impact these antivax profiteers have had on people.

Y’all have no idea how fucking stupid some of the people that I have to deal with when it comes to the coronavirus and the pandemic. It’s amazing they even function in normal society or can make themselves a PB&J sandwich.

I always think of the phrase: “Imagine how dumb the average human is. Half the population is dumber than that.”

To quote the great George Carlin

“think about how stupid the average person is then realize half of them are dumber than that.”
