I wonder if this works on the same principal of having your voice audio relayed with a delay.
Edit: Shouldn’t have skipped around, it does.
Benn’s channel is awesome!
I like how he’s able to do non-music videos too.
Fascinating that people with stutters can be helped by practicing speaking with speech jammers.
It makes me think about how ADHD medication will make people without ADHD more distractible while it’ll help focus people with it.
I mean, some of them act like they’re having their speech jammed regularly already…
Does this method of speech jamming actually work for people? I’ve tried it and it really doesn’t do much. Just concentrate a little. Have you never talked over people before?
I’ve never dealt with this using a hypersonic speaker but I’m very familiar with attempting to record lyrics while hearing my own voice on a delay and it’s impossible. Thinking about just trying to read text while hearing myself on a delay sounds similarly difficult.
My guess is that some of us, musicians especially, are more reliant on internal timing in all things.
I’ve tried some free apps and stuff and didn’t find it very effective against me. Perhaps the sound quality wasn’t good enough?
