I’m a reddit refugee, so please try and bear with my newbie-ness.

not currently. a new apI update is due at the end of the month, so, hopefully, that means new features.

edit: despite being about 4 years old, lemmy is a very immature platform. until about 3 weeks ago, the whole platform had only about 5k-8k users. then it suddenly had ~90k users, and is still growing at a bonkers rate. on July 1, it will experience another massive wave of growth.

Until now, its API development has been extremely slow. Also, only about 2 people are working on it full-time while also administering the lemmy.ml instance. Now they’re working on it as fast as they can (and are a bit grumpy about it), and doing more work on it than they’ve ever done trying to catch up, attempting to squeeze years’ worth of development into a few weeks. It’s… tricky.

My advice? Be patient. Reddit was pretty bare-bones when it first started out, and took many years to get t where it was a mature platform. Lemmy will grow and grow fast, but not overnight.
