It seems as if she’s actually being sincere for once, but at this point, I don’t know if that’s even possible - if it’s not the case that she’s lived in her lies and manipulations for so long that it’s literally impossible for her to do anything else.
Next chapter will reveal that her fear of darkness is actually fabricated and was a trap she laid from the very beginning to employ in a future true emergency if she ever needed to lower his guard…
I don’t think it is possible to be too cynical when it comes to Miyabi’s actions.
