    Delighted and relieved by this announcement. Big congrats to Chow, it’s hopefully the first shift of many to steer things toward a more equitable city. Let’s hope that things can improve here in Toronto, Chow will be a mayor who cares infinitely more than Tory ever could have.

      Are you nervous about higher taxes? I hope she can help the homeless out more then Tory did.

    Is the current makeup of city council one that can work well with Chow? I don’t follow local Toronto politics to closely.

      Yes. That’s why the antidemocratic strong mayor powers were put into place so the Conservatives could have a mayor installed that would overrule councillors and push Conservative interests.
