In my hometown, there is an elderly guy (between 60 and 70 i guess) who walks his two agár dogs, and has a crow on his shoulder.

Anyone who knows him says he’s a nice guy. :)

Me too. There are two crows that hang out near my house on this patch of grass. They’re there every day just booping around, digging for worms, watching people go past. I always say hello and I like to think they know me. Lovely crow bros.

They do. They know you and are probably used to you. They generally like UNSALTED in-shell peanuts if you can get some to offer to them.

This reply made me super happy and I’m going to get some unsalted in-shell peanuts tomorrow for my buddies 🥺

Be aware they’re skittish. They’re probably gonna scatter or even just suspiciously side-eye the peanuts at first. They’re smart and cautious. It’ll take a bit for them to even warm up to the suddenly new peanuts in their area.

My uncle in Bavaria found a young crow that was injured and nursed it back to health (I have no idea how you nurse a crow). The thing is so tame now, it comes and says hello and squawks at you and walks around the courtyard.

See, that’s my secret - you can never go out of style if you’ve never been in style taps forehead

There was a shoe store in the town I grew up in as a kid that had a pet crow in a cage. The crow was the store’s mascot. I used to ask to go just to see the crow.

Plus, if you feed it peanuts for fetching goodies, it’s an avían, self-replicating fashion-generating machine.

If you’re into shiny pieces of metal, coins, smooth pebbles, and glass shards, and occasional jewelry. I mean, I’d be flattered by whatever kind of bird treasure - I don’t know about you.
