so it is a waste if you want to live longer (even 4% of multivitamin user die earlier than other in the other study). But it can make you smart… tough choice

    When my wife was pregnant we asked about pregnancy multivitamins, and got told if you need a vitamin then you want a specific supplement for that vitamin. For example, a randomly selected multivitamin I just googled has 7mg of iron. A randomly googled iron supplement has 106mg. If you are short on iron, you should take iron supplements not a multivitamin.

    I’d guess if you identify the actual vitamin you’re short on, you can get the same outcome with better targeting.

    Also, $1 a day for multivitamins? That’s $365 a year, surely going to the doc and getting a prescription would be cheaper than that.
